The scenes of destruction in Gaza has meant that we enter 2009 with a heavy heart. Our prayers are for peace and justice in Palestine/Israel. We join the voice of millions who call on Israel to stop the bombing of Gaza, to end the seige of the region, and for all side to seek a peaceful solution to the regions problems. After my trip to Palestine in 2005, I have realised that people of all faiths must stand up against injustices committed against the Palestinians due to Israeli expansionism. Locally, we work with the newly formed ‘United 4 Palestine’ and will do all in our power for a peaceful and just end to the conflict
