John Froud ( www.johnfroud.com ) , a popular local singer-songwriter, has offered to do a benefit concert for BEACON on Fri. 5th February 2010 at 7.30pm at the Delius Centre in Bradford. Tickets are £6 including light refreshments. John is well worth hearing and we hope this will raise lots of money for BEACON. So please:
1) Come yourself
2) Tell others about it – there will be flyers available after New Year
3) We are thinking of holding an auction in the interval to raise more money but can only do this if we get offers of 10
items to sell. They can be items that are there on the evening or offers to make or do something. Ideas are:
Items on the night: A quality book, bottle of wine, quality accessory (eg Handbag, bag, case, wallet)
popular DVD, interesting game, Tableware, quality glass or chinaware, a hamper
Items to make or do: Make jam, marmalade or chuntneys, bake a cake or buns etc, knit something, car wash, gardening,
computer advice (needs to be an expert!). You can probably think of some better ideas.
